Wheel they fit?

It may seem easy, but a wheel is comprised of a hub, spoke(s) and a wheel rim. These parts work together to create the alloy wheel. The hub is the centre part of the wheel and is what attaches the wheel to the suspension system. The spokes radiate out from the wheel hub and attach to the wheel rim. The wheel rim is the outer part of the wheel that grips the tyre. While many people refer to wheels as "rims," this is technically incorrect.

Wheels come in all different styles, sizes, bolt patterns and offsets. So how do we know which alloy wheels will fit your vehicle? We can only do this by first knowing your vehicle inside and out. Measuring your vehicle's critical components with sophisticated electronic tools allows our sales staff to actively gain the knowledge to match the wheels to the vehicles. Using these electronic tools we verify numerous different critical areas before a wheel can be listed for a vehicle.

Details we measure or confirm.

Bolt Pattern - Not as simple as 4-bolt vs. 5-bolt. There are currently many different 4- to 5-bolt patterns as well as 6- to 8-bolt patterns for cars, vans,SUV to light trucks.

Centrebore - The wheel must, in most cases, fit the hub of the vehicle precisely, either as a direct fit or with the use of a centre spigot ring.

Hub Interference - Many modern vehicles have additional items on the mounting surface area that have be considered prior to wheel applications, these include location pins and brake mounting hardware.

Load Capacity - The wheel must have enough load capacity when compared to the gross axle weight rating of the vehicle, whether standard or commercial.

Nut/Bolt  Hardware - By either supplying nut or bolt fittings or using the Original Equipment fittings the wheel must be securely attached to the vehicle.

Suspension Components - The wheel must clear and not in any way interfere with any of the suspension components and their operation on the vehicle.

Proper fitment checking allows DGT to offer  our Wheel & tyre packages specifically designed for your vehicle. Our attention to detail aims to prevent vibration, wheel/tyre interference and unbalanced handling that can result from incorrectly supplied packages.
